Your Paper Moon Music Instructors
Daniel Dever has been teaching guitar for over 15 years. An aficionado of wide ranging electric and acoustic flatpicking styles from country chickin pickin’ to smooth jazz, rock and shred metal, Dan encourages technical mastery of the guitar and guides students through a thorough knowledge of the fretboard. He began his music career in Nashville as lead guitarist in country bands while working closely with legendary keyboardist Garland Craft. Dan later collaborated in the composition of jazz pieces for use in television and radio commercials and of movie scores for independent films. Other of his many eclectic performance and recording projects include a role as lead guitarist for rock band Fuzzy Waldorf, and currently as one half of the Latin Jazz/Fusion guitar duo Paper Moon. He is currently working on an instructional video entitled “Nit Picking,” which features the speed and dexterity exercises he has incorporated into his guitar lessons for years. Whether you are a complete beginner wanting to learn the basics, or an advanced player looking to fine tune your technique and discover new soloing strategies, Dan is a patient, enthusiastic, experienced and qualified guitar instructor that can help you achieve your musical goals.
